This section of the website is usually devoted to a photographer's educational background, major clients she's booked, and any other vital information that is supposed to "wow" a potential client. While these things are important, I feel it is more important for you to know me, the person who hopefully you will spend time with, as I take your portraits.
The most important thing you need to know about me is that I love what I do. Taking people's portraits is an honor for me. It's not a job; it's my passion. At most every session, clients are amazed at how patient I am with them, their family, their children, and the entire sitting. I love getting down at a child's level and capturing who he or she is. Sometimes during a session, children need to take a snack break or newborns need to take a feeding, and it is during those times I find myself getting caught up in talking to their parents! I enjoy getting a feel for who you are because that is what I want to capture in your portrait...YOU!
When it comes to events and weddings, I firmly believe the client is "the boss". During the preplanning meeting, I like to create a timeline with the bride and her family so they can get an idea of how the photography portion of the day can flow. During this meeting, I also show an entire wedding gallery, so the client can see what my work looks like from start to finish.
I think there is no such thing as too much Diet Coke or chocolate! I try to be a willing and humble servant for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I have a wonderful husband and two children who enrich my life more than anyone can imagine. At the end of the day, I feel so incredibly blessed to have a career I love--creating portraits that people love. I hope to see you behind my lens! |
